After two years of intensive construction, the mine and supporting facilities were completed with advanced process technology and industrial equipment that meet world-class standards.
- Production officially started in October 2021, and since then the company has invested over EUR 1 billion in mine construction. Including operational costs, total investments have exceeded EUR 2.2 billion.
- Owing to these investments and process optimization, Serbia Zijin Mining quickly became the largest exporter in Serbia, topping national export lists in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Within only a one year of production, Serbia Zijin Mining became Serbia’s largest individual exporter, a leader in sustainable development, and one of the most important companies in Serbia and 100 biggest business entities in Southeast Europe.
