Foundation "Support Life" and #serbiazijinmining Join Forces for a Better Future for Children with Severe Illnesses

Belgrade, November 19, 2024 - A donation agreement worth $120,000 was signed today between Serbia Zijin Mining and the "Support Life" Foundation in the grand hall of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce. The donation will be directed towards supporting children suffering from severe illnesses and their families. The funds will be used for medical treatment, care, recovery, and improving social and health services for children across Serbia.

The agreement was signed by Branko Rakočević, Assistant General Manager and Director of Legal Affairs at Serbia Zijin Mining, and Verica Šegan, Manager of the "Support Life" Foundation.

This donation represents an important step in continuing the socially responsible practices of Serbia Zijin Mining, which has been committed to improving the living conditions and health of its fellow citizens for years. With this significant support, the company is now contributing to enhancing the healthcare of the youngest and most vulnerable members of society.

"Serbia Zijin Mining has always been focused on providing help within the local community. However, we have recognized the exceptional efforts and dedication of the 'Support Life' Foundation, and by signing this agreement, we are starting a collaboration with a mutual desire to help those in greatest need," said Branko Rakočević.

He added that the company has already donated over $2.3 million this year through various social responsibility projects, emphasizing that the plans for the upcoming period are even more ambitious.

"We plan to expand our collaboration with the 'Support Life' Foundation and significantly increase donations and involvement in similar projects next year," said Rakočević.

Katarina Danojlić, a representative of the "Support Life" Foundation, expressed gratitude for the donation and highlighted its importance for the Foundation's mission, which strives for the health and better future of children facing severe illnesses.

"This donation is much more than financial support for us; it is a strong expression of humanity, solidarity, and social responsibility that motivates us to continue our work and provide even greater opportunities for those who need help the most," said Danojlić.

The significance of this donation is underscored by the fact that the Foundation has raised a total of €424,422 over the past four years. This year, the "Support Life" Foundation marks its tenth anniversary, during which 143 children have received assistance.

The $120,000 donation will be directed toward helping both future and current beneficiaries of the Foundation, including Aleksandar Gabrić, Emilija Damljanović, and Sava Đuranin.

In conclusion, Branko Rakočević called on other companies, organizations, and individuals to follow Serbia Zijin Mining's example and prioritize social responsibility to collectively contribute to improving the lives and health of the youngest and most vulnerable members of our society.467253203_1076086304305591_1765949495376406137_n.jpg467310622_1076086377638917_6677413884744507308_n.jpg467504856_1076086300972258_4934949094089792488_n.jpg467493306_1076086297638925_4330855132341055839_n.jpg
