In the presence of a Zijin Mining Group delegation, the Mayor of Bor, Aleksandar Milikić, and the Deputy Mayor of Longyan, Jian Hongkun, signed a Letter of Intent to establish official friendly relations between the two cities.
The signing highlighted the pivotal role of Zijin Mining Group in Bor, emphasizing the opportunities the company has created for Serbia and local communities.
Mayor Milikić noted: “This agreement formalizes the continuation of cooperation between our cities, building a history of strong relations and supporting the development of mining in both regions.”
Both leaders stressed potential collaboration in mining, tourism, sports, culture, education, health, environmental protection, and other areas of shared interest.
Deputy Mayor Jian Hongkun added, “We look forward to strengthening Serbian-Chinese ties through industry, infrastructure, science, technology, and cultural exchange.”
Following the ceremony, the Longyan delegation, accompanied by Zijin Mining Group representatives, visited the main dispatch center at Serbia Zijin Mining, showcasing the company’s advanced operations and commitment to sustainable development.
