In anticipation of International Family Day, celebrated on May 15th, Serbia Zijin Mining organized an Open Doors Day for the local community. Bringing together residents from three rural communities and children and parents who are members of the Bor "Bebironče" Association, they enjoyed sports fields and participated in various games under the sun.
Deputy General Manager of Serbia Zijin Mining, Gan Jonggang, stated: "I am delighted that for the second year in a row, we have been able to host residents from the local communities of Brestovac, Metovnica, and Slatina in our green mine. We provided members of the 'Bebironče' Association, our youngest citizens, and their parents with the opportunity to learn more about our company's operations. This demonstrates our social responsibility not only in mining but also in environmental protection, safety, and many other important areas."
Dragi Čorboloković, Deputy President of the Brestovac Community and President of the KUD "Đido," added: "We want to show that the strong friendship between the Serbian and Chinese peoples is evident in action. I am pleased that our children are finding employment in this company, returning from abroad, starting families, and thereby increasing the natural growth in the village."
Milovan Matović, founder and president of the "Bebironče" Parents' Association, concluded: "Today is a beautiful and sunny day, and we are very pleased that children will enjoy the program we have prepared for them. We continue the successful collaboration that has lasted for eight years, and in the future, we plan to undertake joint projects."
